YouTube TV, an internet TV streaming service offered by YouTube, will expand its programming by adding various channels. These include Adult Swim, Turner Classic Movies, truTV, Cartoon Network, CNN, TNT, and TBS. All of these will be added to a client’s monthly package.
The new channels will reportedly provide their customers with access to hits and different choices of live sports. YouTube even claims that they will be bringing MLB Network and NBA TV to their base lineup. However, the good news also comes with a downside because it also means that it will now be more expensive, says the American media network, The Verge. It reported that the monthly subscription will increase along with the said changes.
While some competitors are offering lower subscription rates, YouTube seems to be going in a different direction. It believes that the company’s unique service, cloud DVR that has no limits in the storage and allows six users in a single account, will be enough to swap for their subscription increase. Also, YouTube said that it will be giving people ample time to take the offer.
The Google-owned YouTube has also continuously improved its availability by adding new markets. It claims that their TV service is even available now in the top 100 markets in the US. More than 85 percent of households in the US also use their TV channel.
