Leg numbness and pain can be experienced by a person in different forms. Some patients consider the pain as a throbbing, burning, or searing feeling that they seem standing in an ice water bucket. Some feel like their feet is like “giving out,” where the pain is persistent. There are also those who feel the pins-and-needles sensation in their legs.
What are the Common Causes of Leg Numbness

The common causes of leg numbness are damage, compression or irritation of the nerves. It is possible that one or several nerve branches are affected, like with a carpal tunnel syndrome or a slipped disc. There are also certain diseases that may damage the most sensitive and the longest nerve fibers going to the feet. An example of such disease is diabetes.
In most cases, the affected nerves are found on the body’s periphery or the part that is away from the core or central regions of the human body. If it is numbness in the leg alone, it is rarely linked to other life-threatening disorders.

Paraplegia is a medical condition that involves the impairment of the lower extremities’ motor and sensory function. Classified as a paralysis, paraplegia is also described as the loss of movement after a nerve damage.
There are women with paraplegia who also desire to bear children. Precautions should be considered and a health care team who can deal with both pregnancy and paraplegia is necessary. This way, it will not complicate the pregnancy and will provide for a successful outcome.

While pregnancy is rare in patients who are suffering from a spinal cord injury or with paraplegia, there are case reports of a successful pregnancy. In one case report, for instance, the patient had a caesarian section. However, a consultation would be helpful for a pregnant woman with paraplegia because it would be critical to a healthy delivery. If the pregnant woman can still feel her stomach, it is likely that she can also feel the baby move.

To those who experience pelvic pain and a numbness in the leg, it is recommended that they go to a nearby ER to get evaluated clinically because it may be an anxiety attack. What is of utmost importance is to rule out stroke.
A pelvic pain alone without leg numbness can be caused by an irritable bowel syndrome, urinary tract infection, or a pelvic organ prolapse. A right pelvic pain, particularly in the lower right side of the abdomen that occurs along with fever, vomiting, and nausea may indicate an infection or inflammation of the appendix. What Leg Numbness Remedy to Apply

You can consider the warm compress. This leg numbness remedy is the very first thing you need to do to the affected area in order to increase the blood supply and relax the nerves and muscles in the area.
Massaging the leg where the numbness occurs is also advisable to lessen the numbness. You can use warm olive oil or coconut oil on your palm and apply it on the numb area. Repeat as necessary. Other natural remedies include exercising, soaking the feet in a tub of warm water with Epsom salt, or taking 2 to 4 grams of cinnamon powder for blood circulation.
