There has be a lot of new additions to the devices that you can wear, with Apple Watch being a popular choice among consumers. Apple has already integrated entertainment and health-related apps on the device but, recently, one of the most awaited apps finally launched on the platform. Spotify just released their official app on the device following a number of reports regarding tests for this very service. This spells big news for Apple Watch owners, as they can now enjoy the full extent of Spotify, on their wrist and wherever they may be.
The app will allow users to control the typical functions of Spotify, including playback, the ability to stream music from their screen, and even connect to devices like computers, Wi-Fi speakers, and others like it. The news was announced by the company on their blog, which showcased the different features that the app provides as well as the ability to play podcasts on top of music. They stated, “We know the importance of having music on the go, which is why we’re excited to bring a new Spotify app to our highly mobile users on Apple Watch. With this new app, users can enjoy an improved experience with better control and the ability to seamlessly connect to your speakers or devices.” From what users can see from the App Store, this is only the first version of the app, hinting at the possibility pf more versions to come with different features that might even be exclusive to the Apple Watch. The company has also confirmed that future versions of their app will have the ability to listen to music and podcasts offline, so that Wi-Fi isn’t necessary at all times to enjoy their services.
While the app is already officially out, Spotify has stated that this new experience will be slowly released over the course of the week, which means that some people still might not be able to download it at the current time.
