IoT uses are becoming popular, evident in the many homes that have adopted smart technology in which one's appliances and home devices work together in creating a better environment for the user.
Now, healthcare institutions are moving to further adopt technologies with their integration of real-time data streaming, medication reminders, and real-time diagnosis—all of which are vital to remote monitoring, healthcare delivery, and in-home diagnostics that reduce hospital visits.
According to tech news site IoT For All, IoT in the medical industry consists of tools and equipment that generate a significant amount of data needed to be stored, integrated, and analyzed to produce actionable insights for managing chronic diseases and care needs of acute patients.
In the agriculture industry, farmers would be able to monitor and manage down to the tiniest detail for their livelihood with IoT—from the state of their farm soil, the presence of pests, and local weather patterns to the health, well-being, and every movement of their cattle.
The tech news site says the connectivity between these elements helps farmers gain massive insights from big data analytics that enable them to make better decisions. IoT can also increase productivity with automated processes like simply remotely switching on farming equipment, which also reduces travel costs.
