The new Apple iMac Pro desktop computer has been released in stores Thursday, October 14.

The new gadget is considered by Apple as their superpowered version computer, an all-in-one iMac that was recently released in stores. The technology company claims that the new product is the most powerful and fastest Mac they have ever produced.

iMac Pro comes in a 27-inch matte gray color and features an 18-core or 10-core Xeon processor. Apple said that it has a total of 22 teraflops of graphics power. If compared to the previous Mac Pro, the newer version is more cylinder-shaped and the main target market is for professionals, said Apple.

In its effort to gratify professional users, Apple also said that the computer is fast enough and ideal for 3D rendering works, designing virtual reality content, and code compiling. It has a 5k display, adds Apple.

Apple first launched iMac Pro during the company’s Worldwide Developers Conference, where they usually preview product updates, in June.  Apple’s Chief Executive Officer Tim Cook said during the event that“ iMac Pro really is "bad ass.”

Apple is not alone in upping its appeal to the professional market. Last year, technology company Microsoft also competed with Apple’s MacBook Pro by featuring their own Surface Book 2, which Microsoft called their powerhouse laptop.
